Vernets Tower
Geneva, 2018-2026

The Vernets Tower rises 86 metres along the banks of the Arve River in Geneva. Through its height and position, it establishes itself as a strong urban landmark within the Genevan landscape. Its architectural expression combines presence, restraint, and stability.
The façade is composed of a projecting grid in textured concrete. Its depth creates a pronounced play of shadows and gives the building a strong material presence. This expression is reinforced by the loggias extending each apartment towards the exterior. Two variations subtly articulate the composition: a higher ground floor that strengthens the relationship to the public realm, and a crown formed by the upper two levels, expressed through a more generous height.
Each floor accommodates ten apartments served by two circulation cores. The layouts are organised according to a clear and rational typology: the entrance first leads to the night area, articulated around bathrooms and bedrooms, before opening onto a generous living space integrating kitchen and lounge. Full-height glazed doors in every room provide abundant natural light as well as open views over Geneva and its surrounding landscape.
The ground floor is organised around a large through lobby providing access to the vertical circulation cores. Two commercial units complete the base of the building and contribute to the activation of the public realm.
